Privacy Policy — TikTalk

1. Data Controller

TikTalk is responsible for processing the data collected through the app.

2. Data Collected

We only collect data necessary for TikTalk functionality:

• Registration data: username, email, encrypted password.
• Messages: temporarily stored on the server and client. Messages are deleted once received by the recipient or after 14 days if not received. Messages are also stored locally in IndexedDB.
• Technical data: FCM notification ID and sessionToken destroyed upon logout.

3. Purpose and Legal Basis

Data is collected only to:

• Provide TikTalk’s main functionality (instant messaging and random user connections).
• Ensure security and prevent abuse.

Legal basis: service execution and legitimate interest.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

Messages and some necessary data are stored client-side in IndexedDB. No third-party cookies are used for tracking.

5. Data Sharing

Data is not sold or shared with third parties for commercial purposes. We may share data only:

• With technical service providers (hosting, notifications) strictly to provide the service.
• To comply with legal obligations or judicial procedures.
• To protect the rights, safety, and property of TikTalk and its users.

6. International Transfers

Technical data or messages may be processed on servers outside the European Economic Area. Appropriate security measures are in place according to international standards and EU standard contractual clauses.

7. Data Retention

• Messages: deleted upon receipt by the recipient or after 14 days if not received.
• Account data: retained as long as the account exists.
• Technical data (sessionToken, FCM ID): destroyed upon logout or after use.

8. Your Rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access your personal data and messages still stored.
• Request deletion of your account and any undelivered messages.
• Obtain a copy of your account data.
• Limit processing of certain technical data.
• Withdraw consent where applicable.

9. Security

We implement technical and organizational measures to protect your data (encryption, automatic deletion, access control). Users who are reported too many times may be banned. No system is completely invulnerable.

10. Minors

TikTalk is not intended for children under 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Contact us for deletion if necessary.

11. Changes

This policy may be updated. The latest version will always be published here. Significant changes will be communicated via the app or email.
